If you can live without diseases                                        It is  VICTORY

At   the age of 70,

If you can live without  being  buden to othera             It is VICTORY

At   the age  of 75

If  you can be happy moving   with many friends          it is  VICTORY

At   ages above 80

If you can go out without  help of of others,                  It is VICTORY

And return home without  missing the way

Raja Thatha Wishes his daughter wishing her all that is best

Raja  Thatha Wishes  his daughter wishing her  all   that is best

My  daughter is   the  huge  treasure  of unending affection

But    for   her  , life   would have  been an arid desert

When I say  to her, “Darling I feel like having kheer tomorrow”

Just   as a joke   though   it was not   my or her birthday,

Next day   before  noon , a huge  vessel  of kheer  would be on my table.

When I look   worried, she   understands  something is wrong,

Rushes to my side   and pesters  to tell , “why”

And if  I tell   some silly   reason like  an old man of my age,

She laughs and tells me , “Throw that   silly ball of worry  to me,

I will  make   a pretty   bouquet  of flowers and make  you happy

When I look  slightly sick, Tears  rush  in to daughter’s eyes,

She runs through her memory   brings  some medicine to cure me,

And  if I am not cured, she   will  drive  me   to our  doctor,

And When he   asks  “What  is the problem?,With tears  in eyes,

She tells  him, “My  papa is sick, I am not able  to eat  or sleep?”

Some  one told me  ‘It is daughter’s day   today  , Don’t you wish her?”

I laughed,”though   for  me  there is  no daughter’s day,

Because  , ever   since   she was   born , my life  is Daughher’s life,

And every  moment  of my this elderly  life  , it is my  Daughter’s moment,

I  would  very much  like  to wish , “happy  daughter’s day  for ever, my dear”

Daughter’s of Gods

Daughter’s  of Gods

I do not  how  many of you have  thought over this

The greatest  God’s  Lord Vishnu  , Lord  Shiva  and Lord  Brahma did  not have  daughters at all.

(they  did get married  but not to daughters  of Gods) though  there is a minor  reference to one  Asoka sundari   who was daughter  of Lord Shiva

The dasavatharas of Vishnu , including  Lord  Rama   and Lord  Krishna did not have  daughters(there  is some reference that  Lord Krisna had a daughter   called Charumathi)

In last centuary  Indians brought out a Goddess called  SAnthoshi Mata, who is supposed  to be daughter  of  God Ganesa, though ancient puranas  do not mention about her

Among the minor Gods ,

I came across the Sun God  having  a daughter  called  Yamuna.

King Indra  had a  daughter  called  DEvasena

Lord Agni  had a daughter  called  Agneya

May be some more  are there but I am not able to recollect  , Raja Thatha

After my talk , I went slightly away so that no one could notice me

After lunch  DR.MS  came in search of me and told me, your presentation of superb,Before leavingI wanted to tell you

I was elated  and from then on, I gave umpteen presentations, Which every one appreciated

With tears  I acknowledge it was due  to that word of MS

Happy seventy fifth birthday to my greatest half

Happy seventy fifth birthday to my greatest half

By
P.R.Ramachander
Out of these seventy five years of your life ,
You have lived with me for more than fifty two,
And In all these years of our life together,
I can never say that we did not ,
Have disagreements or quarrels,
But I would say that All the time ,
You gave me happiness in life and it was you,
Who looked after my father till ripe old age ,
Brought up both my children in such a way,
That both of them are great assets of the world,
Who is the treasured Ammamma for two lovely grand daughters,
Who is the adorable Thathi to your smart grand sons in USA ,
More than all that you gave me immense strength to face problems of life,
And made my life worthwhile till this time,
All people who know me know that ,
For all that I do , you are the inspiration,
And but for your silent cooperation,
All that I have done would be impossible
You are the Jayam(victory) of this Rama,
My dear partner in wishing you happy birthday today,
To you and many more happy returns of the day,
I am being outright selfish and self centered,
For I want you as my joy , protection and cooperation and to continue for ever.
May be an image of 6 people and people smiling

WE do ganesa pooja along with our grand daughters

WE do ganesa pooja along with  our grand daughters

By

Since we  settled  in Bangalore in 1975, Like  all Kannadigas  my  children believe  that Lord Ganesa  is  the God of  Vidhya (learning)   and from that  time our children  also join  us in   worship of  Ganapathi  and as  each name is told, they will  repeat  it  and do pooja.Since my daughter  and family  settled  in  Bangalore , they also along  with their children do the pooja.Ofcourse , I would go and chant 108 names, every time.

One of my grand daughter  is studying in Mumbai  and she came  to be with us ,Another grand daughter  is in Atlanta , USA  and she has a  small  Ganesa. She also joined  us in the pooja on line. When we  were chanting names and offering flowers, She chanted those names and offered  Akshatha  to her  Ganapathi.

So this year  also we  all  did pooja to our  Ganesa and need I to say we all felt that  Our Ganesa has blessed us
