The mangala Pathrika  of Prof Subbarama iyer  when he  celebrated  his sixtieth birthday  in Chelakkara in the year 1956 by  a Sanskrit Scholar  called P.S.Anantha Rama  Sastrikal

Great  gentleman  ,perfect  Subbarama

On theday of celeberation of  sixty years age

This  auspicious write up  is submitted

 

I  Sajatho yena jatheyathi desa  samunnathim

Parivarthini samsare jana ko vanajayathe

 

Born in a great  family  for  the  greatness of the  country

With a aim to  reform society, will not people praise  him to the sky

 

II.C.V.Subbarama  praditha prathu yasa vasthra , theeradhivasi

Lokaanaam  Kshema Karthaa, puna kuru  vibhavais thyaginaam  agra ganyaa

M.A.Dheemaan sumedhaa pravachana paduthaamVidhyadhipo bhootha

Soyam  sashti abdha  poorthyaa  udhitha sahrudhyodathaam Bandhu  vargai

 

The  learned  C.V.Subbaraman born in chelakkara lived in coastal area

Was one who did work  for  people’s welfare and again became  the greatest  among the one who  gave,

The great one  got M.A., became  expert lecturer and  became  teacher of knowledge,

For the completion of sixty years of age, many great  people  and relatives  have assembled

 

II Momudhyamanasya mahathmanasya thyagena , bhogenaa sukarmanaa  cha

Sashti abdha  poorhyakhya  mahothsavena chirathayu  , bhagawan  thanothu

 

The pleasing great  person  was acknowledged  as great  in his sacrifice, his pleasure  and  good deeds

At  the festival   of his  sixtieth  birthday, we pray God  to give him very  long life

 

IV  Jayathu  suchira arya  Subbaramo  Dwijanmaa

Nikhila  jana  thatheenaa klesa harthaa supoojya

Aviratham api bhooyaadh bukthir ananda moorthou

Nija  Sukha paripoorna jeevithaadha aaptha kamaa

 

Let  the Brahmin  Subbarama   lIve long  with victory

The worshipful one  destroyed  the suffering of  all people

Without  stop let him become  one  with great joy

We desire  that he has real happy life fulfilling  all his desires
