   (Every  state  in India  have  huge  number  of temples.Some times  some peculiar  custom  is followed  in a particular  temple.

  A few temples  of Kerala  where  peculiar customs are  followed here. This is  definitely not a complete  list)

1.Aathukkal  Bhagawathi temple- Only  Lakhs  of ladies offer  Pongala

2.Kothamkulankara Devi temple- Men act like  ladies and present lamps

3.Mannara sala  Nagaraja temple-Only  ladies  are appointed as priests

4.Chakkulathukaavu Bhagawathi temple-Women  are  made to sit on seats and worship is offered to them

5.Chengannur  Devi temple- The periods  of Goddess is observed

6.Kaattin meykathil  Bhagawathi temple-Peope tie  bell on banyan tree  and pray

7.Mandayakkadu Bhagawathi temple-After  visiting temple  , devotees  cook and eat  fish inside temple

8.THiruvallam Parasurama  temple.Pithru woship is done  all the 365  days  in a year

9.Kadampuzha Bhagawathi temple-Temple without roof and idol

10.THiruvairani kulam  Shiva temple –The doors of Goddess Parvathi  is opened only 12 days in a year

11. Randu moorthi temple, Alathur-Two Goddesses  in one temple where Chandattam is done  to wodden statues

12,Arabmula  Parthasarathy  temple-Amodel of  Gandava forest( which arjuna burnt)  is created  every year  and burnt

13,Baluserry  vettakku oru magan temple 12000 coconuts  are  broken on a stone in front  of temple before midnight

14.Malanada Duryodhana temple –The only temple  to Duryodhana  , where  there is no idol but a hall represents him

15.Elukunnam puzha Subrahamanya temple-God is built  with stone  above  hip and by bronze below hip

16.Kallekulankara  Hemambika  temple The  Palm  of Goddess  is  worshipped here

17.Kodungallore  Bhagawathi temple.To please  the goddess , during a festival men  sing Bawdy  songs

18Malayala puzha  BHagawathi  temple-The  soddess is  made of concentrated  Jaggery.Ladies offer  Manjadi seeds  to get increase  in Breast milk

19.Ochira  Para Brahma temple –No temple , no god, but acres  of trees

20.Panachikkadu  Bhagawathi temple-A medicine called  Saraswathi Ghrutham is prepared in this temple to boost  memory

21.Panayannur  Kavu  Bhagawathi temple-Ladies  were  priests  in this temple earlier

22.Pavithreswaram temple of Shakuni-No idol, no worship of  Shakuni in this temple

23,Sasthamkotta  Ayyappan temple  Monkeys  are  given a  feast  in this temple

24.THaliparambu   Rajadhi Raja temple,Women can enter  the temple after  Athazha(evening) pooja
