ആരോമലുണ്ണീ, നീയെവിടെയാണ്,
എവിടെയാണുണ്ണീ നീ എവിടെയാണ് .

താരാട്ടെന്‍ ചുണ്ടില്‍ വിരിഞ്ഞു നില്‍പ്പൂ,
നീയൊരു മോഹമായ്‌ പൂത്തു നില്‍പ്പൂ.

 

THaaratten  chundil  virinju  nilpoo

Neeyoru mohamaai  poothu  nilpo

 

The lullaby  is standing  flowered in my lips

You are standing as  a flower  of my desire

അമ്മ തന്‍ മടിയിലേയ്ക്കോടിവായോ,
പുഞ്ചിരിച്ചെന്നുണ്ണി ഓടി വായോ.

 

Amma than  madiyilekku odi vaayo

Punchirichen unni  odi vaayo

 

Please  come  running  to my lap

My baby with  a smile  come  running

താരാട്ട്‌ കേള്‍ക്കുവാന്‍ നീ വരില്ലേ,
താളം പിടിയ്ക്കുവാന്‍ നീ വരില്ലേ.

 

Thaaraattu kelkkuvaan nee  varille

Thalam  pidikkuvaan  nee  varille

Would  you not  come to hear  the lullaby

Would  you  not come to keep the  rhythm

മാമം നിന്‍ വായില്‍ നിറച്ചും നല്‍കാം,
പായസം വെച്ചമ്മയൂട്ടിത്തരാം.

 

Maamam  nin  vaayil  nirachum  nalkaam

Payasam  vechu  amma ootti  tharam

 

I would you in your  mouth  lot  of  food

Mother will prepare  payasam  and  feed you

തപ്പുകൊട്ടാടുവാന്‍ കൂടെ വരാം,
പിച്ചവെച്ചാലമ്മയുമ്മതരാം.

 

THapoo kottaduvaan  koode  varaam

Picha  vechaal  amma  umma  tharaam

 

For  baby dancing with fervour , I will come  with you

When you take  your first  steps,Mother will give you a kiss

എന്‍ കുഞ്ഞുവാവേ കുറുമ്പു കാട്ടാം,
ശാസിച്ചു നിന്നമ്മ കേണു കൊള്ളാം.

 

Yen Kunju  vaave  , kurumbu  kaattam

Saaichu  ninnamma  kenu  kollaam

 

My dear darling babe, I  will show you mischief,

അമ്മ തന്‍ കയ്യുകള്‍ തൊട്ടിലാക്കീ,

Ambili  maanathu  udhichu nilpoo

 

The  star has flowered and stands  widely  opened

The  moon has risen and stands  in the sky

അമ്മ തന്‍ സ്വപ്നത്തിലെന്നുമെന്നും,
ആരോമലേ നീ നിറഞ്ഞു നില്‍പ്പൂ.

 

Amma  than  swapnathil yennum yennum

AAromale  nee  niranju  nilpoo

 

In the  dreams  of them , always and always

Oh my darling you stand  filled up

ദൂരത്തു നില്‍ക്കാതെയോടി വായോ,
അമ്മ തന്‍ കണ്ണീര്‍ തുടച്ചു തായോ.

 

Dhoorathu  nilkaathe  odi  Vaayo

Amma  than kanneer thudachu  thaayo

 

Do  not stand at a distance , come  to me runninh
