Job at home without wife

Job at home without wife

For   twice  a year  , darling mine ,

You do go to your  parent’s  place

Without you   and children,

The home   is looking   very dull

If I want  to boil  milk in the stowe, for coffee

After  struggling half an hour  to light it,

Half the milk  after  boiling   comes out,

And drenches the stowe , no coffee  till tomorrow

Though   I do not sweep  the home daily,

And  postphone   it for once a week

Sweeping once makes hips and knee,

To pain and some how , I could not find pain spray

In the office   some how  , I manage  to eat,

From a friends  tiffin box but for dinner,

On day one I called   the swiggy

And half my salary   was spent on that day

Deciding to cook, when I went  to buy vegetables

Some how   all that I get are fully spoiled  or very solid vegetables.

Trying to cut  them the  kitchen knife  breaks

And all  our kitchen  there  is fowl smell

Long back  when   I was a student   Dhobhi  ,

Used to come home and take the cloths ,

But after theto be washed  bucket  is full,

When I try to wash, I get torn and more  dirty cloths

Mot of the time  Iswitch on motor   to pump water

But sleep  without realizing that and once,

Neighbour called   fire engine to put off   fire on motor,

And   next day was spent   with no water  to drink

Without locking front    door  and without

Putting off  the stowe , I do go out

And by the   time I come back,.

Home is full of gas, dogs   and thieves

One day I put   salt in coffee  instead of sugar

Made   idlis   with thick curd you had left

Tried to make  chapathi  with maida
And Upma  with  idli rava

Oh please   darling , I wanted  to suggest  you

Request  your parents  to shift  next door

Or take me   every time   with you when you go

For unless you do it , both me and home  may not be there

But when you came back  with kids from there

And ask me  , “How was life   when I am not there”

I tell, “It was indeed   seventh heaven,

Why did you come so early”
