my daughter to write one . She
wrote a simply sizzling write up about
me in English .When I was toying with
googke translation , it made a tamil
translation of the write up.It was simply great
but had lot of mistakes and I requested my
friend to
make a good translation .Here it is .It simply is super ( I am giving below the
original english write up )

எழுதியது - ஸ்ரீமதி மீரா வெங்கடேசன்
இன்றைய உலகில் தனக்குரிய இடம் மற்றும் தேவையை கண்டுபிடித்து தக்க வைத்துக்கொள்வதின் முக்கியத்துவம் பற்றி நிறைய சலசலப்புகள் உள்ளன!
பல முயற்சிகளுக்கு இந்த இடம் போதுமானது என்பதை நான், எனது தந்தை ஸ்ரீ பி.ஆர்.ராமச்சந்தரிடமிருந்து, கற்றுக்கொண்டேன். அவரது ஒவ்வொரு தொழில் முறை சாதனைகளிலும் இரண்டு தனித்துவமான அம்சங்கள் இருக்கின்றன; அவைகள், (1) தனது படைப்புகளை உலகிற்குத் திரும்பக் கொடுக்கும் அவரது விருப்பமும், (2) சிக்கலான சிக்கல்களை எளிமை ஆக்குவதற்கான அவரது முயற்சிகளும் தான்.
குழந்தைப் பருவத்திலிருந்தே ஒரு கணித வித்தகர்.
கணித முதுகலை படிப்பில் 100க்கு 160 மதிப்பெண்கள் பெற்றவர்;
வினாத்தாளில் உள்ள அனைத்து வினாக்களுக்கும் பதில் அளித்து (பத்தில்
ஆறு வினாக்களுக்கு பதிலலித்தால் போதுமானது!). சிக்கலான கணித
மூலங்களையும், தேற்றங்களையும், பூங்காவில் தன்னிச்சையாக புன்முறுவலுலன்
நடப்பதைப்போல், தன் தனித்திறமையால் தீர்க்ககூடியவர்; சுலபமான
மற்றும் தெளிவான கணித வழிமுறைகளை பசுமரத்தாணிபோல் நம் நெஞ்சில் பதிய வைப்பார். பூங்காவில். எளிமையான புன்னகையுடனும் நடைகளுடனும் நம் மனதில் ஒட்டிக்கொள்ளும் ஜெல்லியை அவர் நம் இதயத்தில் வைப்பார்;
அவர் நம்மை
நாமே முட்டாளாக கருதாமல்,
நம்மை ஞானமுள்ளவர்களாக
உணர வைப்பார்.
IIHRல், 30 ஆண்டுகளுக்கும் மேலாக புகழ்பெற்ற விஞ்ஞானி மற்றும் புள்ளியியல் நிபுணரான பணிபுரிந்தவர்; தான் பணிபுரிந்த நிறுவனத்திற்கும் மற்றும் தன்னுடன் பணிபுரிந்த விஞ்ஞானிகளுக்கும், தனது மகத்தான பங்களிப்பை வழங்கினார். தோட்டக்கலை ஆராய்ச்சிக்கான புள்ளியியல் முறை பற்றிய பல கட்டுரைகளை அவர் வெளியிட்டுள்ளார். நிறுவனப்பணியின் போது, தன் தொழில்நுட்ப அறிவாற்றல் மூலம், மக்களுக்குப் பயன்படும் வழிகளை தொடர்ந்து தேடிக்கொண்டிருந்தார்; முக்கியமாக விவசாயிகளுக்கு கொண்டு சேர்த்தார். அவருடைய வேலைத் திறமை அவருடைய சிந்தனையைப் பிரதிபலித்தது.
ஒரு தகப்பனாக, அவர் எங்களுக்கு வளரும் செயல்முறையை எளிதாக்கினார். சிந்தித்து, காத்திருந்து, நம் உள்ளுணர்வினை நம்பி வாழ்க்கையில் முன்னேற வேண்டும் என்பதை அவரிடமிருந்து நான் கற்றுக்கொண்டேன். எங்களுக்கு தேவையான தகவல்களையும் மற்றும் வழிமுறைகளையும் போதித்தார் (அந்த நாட்களில் இணையமே வழிமுறையில் இல்லை!); ஆனால், எப்போதும் எங்களை யோசிப்பதற்கும் சிந்திப்பதற்கும் உரிமை அளித்தார்! அது, நாங்கள் வளரும் வாழ்க்கை முறைகள மிகவும் எளிமையானது!
அறுபது வயதில் ஓய்வு பெற்றபோது, அவர் தனது விருதுகளில் ஓய்வெடுக்காமல், தன்னை முழுமையாக புதுப்பித்துக் கொள்ளத் தீர்மானம் எடுத்தார். இந்திய மொழிகளில் பக்தியின் மகத்தான படைப்புகளை அனைவருக்கும் புரியும்படி சொல்ல விரும்பினார். இன்றைய இளைஞர்களின் புரிதல் மொழியாக ஆங்கிலம் இருப்பதை உணர்ந்தார்; மேலும் ஸ்தோத்திரங்கள் மற்றும் பாடல்களை ஆங்கிலத்தில் மொழிபெயர்ப்பதே அவர்களிடம் கொண்டு சேர்க்கும் ஒரே வழி என்றுணர்ந்த்தார். அதிகபட்ச மக்களைச் சென்றடையும் வகையில் இவற்றை இணைதத்தில் பதிவு செய்ய முடிவு செய்தார்.

There is a lot of buzz in today’s world about the importance of finding your space, your Ikigai. I learnt from my father, P.R. Ramachander, that this space is big enough for many pursuits. If there have been two distinguishing features of every of his professional achievements, they are- his desire to give back to the world and his efforts to simplify complex problems.
A mathematics whiz kid who had routinely score 160 out of 100 in his post graduate studies (by answering all the questions in the paper instead of 6 out 10 as required), he had a knack of making the complicated derivations and theorems look like a walk in the park. He would put the jelly in our hearts at ease with a simple smile and clear steps, that would stick to our minds. He would make us wiser, without making us feel foolish.
A distinguished scientist and statistician at IIHR for over 30 years, he contributed immensely to the institute and the scientists with whom he worked. He has published several papers on statistical methodology for horticultural research. During his work at the institute, he was constantly looking for ways to use technology to bring knowledge to the people, to whom it mattered- in this case the farmers. His work reflects his thinking.
As a parent, he made the process of growing up easy for us. I learnt from him that all we had to do in life was think, wait and trust our instincts. He empowered us with information( which was not available on the internet in those days), but always left the thinking to us. So simple!
When he retired at 60, he choose to reinvent himself completely instead of resting on his laurels. He wanted the make the great works of devotion in the Indian languages understandable to all, who wanted to tell them. He felt that English was the main lingua franca of many youngsters, and the way to reach them was by translating the stothras and songs into English. He decided to host these online so that they reached the maximum number of people. So far, he has translated and published

The lifetime achievement award that is given to him is, I believe, for bringing the complex wisdom of the text in known and unknown languages, right up to the screens and minds of everyone, wisdom that they would understand, appreciate and apply.
