Classification  of sons  according to lord Rama

In the Adhyathma Ramayana  (Malayalam) , in the Ayodhya Kanda  when Kaikeyi tells Rama, that  his father is not able to tell him  that “He should go to forest for  Fourteen years and Bhratha  should rule Ayodhya “ Rama immediately agrees   and defines   the three  type of sons  in the following verses:-

1,.Great son

Thatha karya  manojnptham  yennakilum,

Modhena   cheyyunna  nandanan uthamam,

 The son  who  does  the wishes in the mind,

Of his father  without him telling is great,

2.Medium type son

Pithra niyukthamayittu  cheyyunnavan,

Madhyamanayulla  puthran yennarinjalum,

The one who does  it after he tells is medium,

3.Bad Son

Uktham yennagilum  ikkarya mennale ,

Karthavyam allennu vechadangunnavan,

Pithrormalamennu  chollunnu sajjanam,

Though it is proper , a son who says that,

It is not his duty  is  the poop of his parents,

What a remarakable definition  .Most of our sons according to above are  Great and Medium    and unfortunately  we hve a few   who are  of the third category
