My humble
Birthday celebration With
Guruvayurappan

I reached
Guruvayur on first February evening
to celebrate my star birthday
along with my wife. On 2nd morning I had wonderful Senior citizen Darshan within 20 minutes.We
both went to Kadampuzha temple. For every problem we or our relations we have,
we have purchase a coconut , register
the name of the person, his star
and his problem, and take it before Bhawathy there .One priest will read
the particulars and another will break
one coconut.It is the belief that if the coconut is not spoiled and breaks perfectly , our problem is gone,
This is called Muttirakkal(getting rid of the problem) in that temple.When we returned we were surprised to find my sister who is 78
and her friend waiting there to join in the birthday celebrations.Sri
P.V.Subramanyan , who is running an
event management service in Guruvayur (SRivathsam Event management service) helped us
to see Lord Guruvayurappan, in the
early morning .
Al the four of
us went to Chamravattam , A temple of
sastha on the shores of Bharatha
puzha in the morning .After a great
Darshan there, we came back and joined a
simple Lunch hosted by Brahmins of
Guruvayur,
This lunch
starts with serving of the Prasadam of Guruvayurappan, received from the temple. Thanking our Lord
Guruvayurappan for having a great
birthday , we both left to Trichur.There
we visited the Krishna Temple at
Thiruvambadi, The Bhagawathy temple of
Parmekkavu and The great Vadakku than temple of Lord Shiva.
Next day morning
we started back to Bangalore with tears of joy forhaving
celebrated a great 80th
birthday.
