Day of Jealousy (Hera Panchami) of   goddess  Lalkshmi in Puri Jagannath

Possibly  you may  not know that lOrd Jaganath  of Puri,

Lives in Sri Mandhira, the temple of  the goddess Lakshmi,

On  the ratha yathra  day  ,he  along with his brother  and sister,

Goes to his mothers temple , the gudiacha   temple in three great  chariots

Poor Lalkshmi  gets bored  in the very huge  Sri Mandhi  without her lord,

She waits for  five days and  since he  and siblings   are not coming,

She  decides to visit  her mother-in-law’s  home , to see her lord,

And on the sashti day ,Her golden idol is takenin a palanquin there,

Her Lord  receives her  with great joy and tells  her that she will return soon,

Goddess Lakshmi gets enraged  and while returning   she damages,

Lord Jagannath’s chariot and ashamed  because of that ,

She returns  to her temple  without and fanfare  and festivities

After  she returns , Lord  Jagannath  feels   guilty ana orders,

His servants to turn back  their Charriots towards  sri Mandhir,

But  he loves  the  company  of his   siblings and mother too,

And decides  to stay   five more days , leaving poor Lakshmi alone
