Quite a large percentage of Bangalore Brahmins are Smarthas . Most of them are settlers from neighbouring states. I might have left many other groups .Please do write in this forum, if you know any more group . I would be writing about Vaishnavites soon.
The word Smartha means , followers of Smrithi. Most of the Smarthas are the followers of Adhi Sankara.Though they worship all Gods of Hinduism, they are referred to as Shaivite Brahmins./
There are many types of Smarthas living in Bangalore .Here

Dear Sir,
Havyaka Brahmins dont speak Tulu, they have their their own language with is called Havigannada or Havyaka Bhashe. It is very similar to old kannada. Havyakas of North Canara, SOuth Canara and Kasargod districts speak Havigannada while the Havyakas of Kodagu District speak in Kannada. I am myself a Havyaka from Kodagu.
To add to this comment, Bangalore does have a large community of Shivalli Brahmins who do speak Tulu as their mother tongue. They are also from South Canara district.
There is also a huge population of Shukla Yajurvedi Smarthas in Bangalore who are originally from Kolar, Malur districts settled in Bangalore from many generations
