Chuppuni and the
ghost in tamarind tree

Chuppuni was a
lad who did not learn much.Once he
tried to learn music ,Hearing his harsh voice, his teacher one day left telling his father that all
that Chuppuni needs
is music practice.Chuppuni’s father told him to practice or he will drive himout of the
house
Chuppuni sat
in the verandha and started singing “Kraaaaaa”.
His father who was reading his news paper got a jolt.He told him “Chuppuni
, this is not the place to practice
.Go to the kitchen and do it
Obediently
Chuppuni went to the kitchen and
start singing “Gra, Ba, Do , ho” His poor mather was preparing sambhar and his voice jolted her and the sambar pot fell dsown. She said , “Hey
Chupppuni is this the proper place to practice .Your sister
is playing with her baby in bed
room.Go and sing there.
Chuppuni
obediently went there and started
singing ‘gada buda, Thada ,
gara..” and the baby started crying in a
very loud voice.”Subbuni’s sister
shouted at him and told, “Go to to the cattle shed
and practice”
Chuppuni cursing
his fate went to their cattle shed and
started singing, Oh Gara , Oh BURRa …
The cow got startled
and kicked him.Subbuni felt very
bad and he went and sat below a tamarind tree and started singing “Oh my gadabada Appa, Oh
mu brum brum Amma.. “ Unfortunately a
ghost was living ion the top of the tree. This music jolted
him badly
He came down fell
at his feet and said , “Please stop
singing.I will give you anything”
Chuppuni wanted
to marry the chief minister’s
daughter. The ghost said” , no problem,
I will go and catch his daughter .She will start shouting at the top of voice.He will call many doctors. I
will drive them away . Then he will
advertaise that, whosoever cures
her will be her husband.If you go
there , I will run away from there..But
if you come again to meet me, I will kill you.” It happened exactly like
that .Chuppuni became a very important
by marrying the Chief minister’s
daughter.
Then a big epidemic came in the country.All doctors tried and
failed .The chief of the country send word for Chuppudu. Chuppudu went to a big hospital .The ghost
which was the cause of the
epidemic started shouting at
Chuppudu .Chuppudu then started singing at the top ofvoice the worst possible sounds.
The ghost ran away and Epidemic
was cured
Chuppuni got
a “Greatest doctor” award
