I signed   an appeal   to make  our world  “ a  p l a s t i c  free  world “

(Long , long back  I remember reading a  thriller where the hero by mistake  synthesises  p l a s t i c  eating bacteria.  Finding no use  to it, he pours it in the sink  . By the next day morning   the entire   town which was  depending on each and everything became miserable. I   read  what  I have written with variations  in Tamil. It must have  been translated from English by some body. I found nothing wrong in rewriting   everything  in English)

WE get up   early morning   and brush our teeth,

With a p l a s t i c   brush  using paste  packed in p l a s t i c  lami tube,

We wash our face  with water   stored   in a p l a s t i c  tank,

Travelling to us    through a  p l a s t i c  tune   using a p l a s t i c  mug.

WE then take coffee prepared with milk  stored in p l a s t i c  pouch,

Using sugar   and  coffee  powder   stored in P l a s t i c  tins,

Wear   stretch suit  made  of polyster   fibre   suit ,

Wearing shoes iwith polyurethane  p l a s t i c  soles.

Then we watch  news in TV  made  of p l a s t i c ,

Shave  ourselves   with p l a s t i c  holder  and p l a s t i c  brush,

Take bath using shampoo  stored  in P l a s t i c   bottle,

Apply oil   stored in p l a s t i c  bottle and comb using a p l a s t i c  comb.

WE take  Dosa batter  stored in p l a s t i c  pouch  , make,

Dosas using oil stored  in p l a s t i c    bottles, Cook food ,

Using grains, vegetales  etc  transported  in p l a s t i c  bags,

Wear Poly urethane shirts and pants, specs made of p l a s t i c    and wear shoes with p l a s t i c  sole

WE travel in car with 350  plasic parts , show p l a s t i c  ID card,

Enter the office, sit on a  p l a s t i c  chair , work in lap tops  made of p l a s t i c ,

Sipping  tea in p l a s t i c  mugs  , drink water  in p l a s t i c  bottles,

Write  using p l a s t i c  pen and call the peons   by using p l a s t i c  bells.

Then we back to our home   with p l a s t i c  screens  covering  windows,

Take  meals on a p l a s t i c  dining table,  sit on a sofa with p l a s t i c  foam,

Use  pastic   remotes  , P l a s t i c  cell phones, P l a s t i c  phones  ,

Use many medicines   and pastes  packed in p l a s t i c  and sleep on p l a s t i c  foam.
