  Sri Muthuswamy  Deeksithar , one of the musical trinities  of South India   (1775-1835)   was also a  great expert in Manthras   as well  as astrology. It is believed  that  he was of the opinion that  singing  certain Ragas  would  please certain planets    and he  composed  Krithis  in those  Ragas   to please the   concerned planets. It is believed   that  singing those krithis  in the Dasas of those planets  or when the planets   are in  bad position   would  help one  to get  rid  of problems   caused  by those planets

 

1.Sun (Surya/ Adhithya/BHaskara)

(Surya dasa  is for 6 years. Surya  remains in a rasi  for only month. During its movement when it is in 1, 2, 4,5,7,8 and 9^th houses   from  , it causes  problems)

2,Moon (Chandra/Sasi)

(Moon  remains in  one  Rasi  only for two and half days.Its dasa period is 10 years .It gives rises to problems when it is in the2,  4^, 5.8.9, and 12^th rasis)

3.Mars (Chevvai/kujan/Mangal)

(Mars remains in a Rasi for 45 days   and the duration  of  Mars dasa is  7 years  .Mars in 1,2, 4, 5,7, 8, 9,  10 and 12^th rasi causes problems)

6.Venus (Shukran )

8.Rahu  (Sarpi)
