We feed the crow ,
It would mean we are feeding our ancestors,
And the same crow if
it flies over our head, it is evil.
If a cat crosses our path
it is a bad omen,
But if an elephant crosses same path it is a good omen,
If a pretty maid crosses your path,
Our eyes would
deeply stare at her,
But if it is a widow
who crosses,
Our legs would hurry in another direction.
If we see a thief or
a murderer we would smile ,
But if we see a
person removing dirt, we
would frown.
If we see a rich
man we would sport a smile,
But if we see a poor
one it would be a leering laugh,
If we see white skin, there
would be desire,
But if we see a
black skin, there would be hatred.
If we see a pretty one
, we would love,
But once we move with
them and get bored, there would be quarrel,
If we see money ,
there would be marriage,
If we are bored with
the taste re-marriage,
Instead of living as
a well dressed animal in the city ,
WE could perhaps have lived in the foreast
without dress.

காக்கைக்கு
சோறு வைத்தால்
முன்னோருக்கு சோறு வைப்பது..
அதே காக்கை தலைக்கு மேல்
பறந்தால் அது கெட்டது....
பூனை குறுக்கே போனால்
... அது அபசகுனம்,
யானை குறுக்கே வந்தால்
அது நல்ல சகுனம்....
கன்னிப்பெண் கடந்து சென்றால்
ஊடுருவப் பார்க்கும் கண்கள்,
கைப்பெண் கடந்து சென்றால்
விலகி ஓடும் கால்கள்...
கொள்ளை அடிப்பவனையும்
கொலை செய்பவனையும் கண்டால் சிரிப்பு
குப்பைகளையும் கழிவுகளையும்
அகற்றுபவனை கண்டால் முகம் தவிர்ப்பு...
பணக்காரனை கண்டால் புன்னகை
ஏழையை கண்டால் எகத்தாளம்.
வெள்ளை தோல் கண்டால் ஆசை
கருப்பு தோல் கண்டால் வெறுப்பு....
அழகை கண்டதும் காதல்
பழகி புளித்ததும் மோதல்.
பணத்தை கண்டால் திருமணம்
சுவை தீர்ந்தால் மறுமணம்...
ஆடையுடன் நாட்டில்
மிருகங்களாக வாழ்வதற்கு
ஆடையின்றி காட்டில்
மனிதர்களாகவே வாழ்ந்திருக்கலாம்...!
முன்னோருக்கு சோறு வைப்பது..
அதே காக்கை தலைக்கு மேல்
பறந்தால் அது கெட்டது....
பூனை குறுக்கே போனால்
... அது அபசகுனம்,
யானை குறுக்கே வந்தால்

ஊடுருவப் பார்க்கும் கண்கள்,

கொள்ளை அடிப்பவனையும்
கொலை செய்பவனையும் கண்டால் சிரிப்பு
குப்பைகளையும் கழிவுகளையும்
அகற்றுபவனை கண்டால் முகம் தவிர்ப்பு...
பணக்காரனை கண்டால் புன்னகை
ஏழையை கண்டால் எகத்தாளம்.
வெள்ளை தோல் கண்டால் ஆசை
கருப்பு தோல் கண்டால் வெறுப்பு....
அழகை கண்டதும் காதல்
பழகி புளித்ததும் மோதல்.
