(Poet Vairamuthu   is one of the greatest among the  present day Tamil poets , Here by five  , he indicates  animals with five senses   and by six,  he indicates  human being with six senses, After  a  thought process   which is  revolutionary he compares  Animals and human beings  , he concludes  that Animals with five senses  or better. No animal   grows  one stomach   over another

Have you ever seen a  bellied bird ,

Or bellied   rabbit   anywhere?

----

No animal  suffers from Diabetes, do you know?

-----

Another  fact , do you know  that  no  bird sweats?

----

Also no bird builds a nest and leaves it   for rent?

And no animal steals a  land that it does not need?

Oh Human being   , please observe ,

Joint families  have never been split ,

Only  inside the forest 

---

If you know  , you would be surprised,

The  leprosy which buries ,

Bodies  inside the body  ,

Does never occur to Animals.

Oh human being,

Receive  this in your mind

Once  a smell of pregnancy is there,

A bull   does not  join with  that  cow

----

“One lady  for one  man”  are only  words for you,

But  it is life for the doves

No dove touches another dove,

Which is not its partner

When earth   tremor is coming  ,

The  animals     start running helter skelter

  ,

And  in case  of  the birds ,

They lash their   feathers  on their belly

Now tell me   whether

In wisdom

Six is bigger ,

Or five is bigger

----

When they die  ,

The hide of a deer  becomes holy seat ,

The feathers of peacock  becomes  a fan,

The teeth of  elephants are used to decorate ,

The bone  of a camel  becomes an ornament,

But when you die ,

Because  some people  are  rejected  even by the  fire  ,

We have  learned to bury them

ஆறு சிறிது –
கவிஞர் வைரமுத்து

எந்த விலங்கும்
இரைப்பைக்கு மேலே
இன்னொரு வயிறு வளர்ப்பதில்லை

எங்கேனும்
தொப்பைக் கிளியோ
தொப்பை முயலோ
பார்த்ததுண்டா ?

எந்த விலங்குக்கும்
சர்க்கரை வியாதியில்லை தெரியுமோ?

இன்னொன்று :
பறவைக்கு வேர்ப்பதில்லை

எந்த பறவையும்
கூடுகட்டி
வாடகைக்கு விடுவதில்லை
**
எந்த விலங்கும்
தேவையற்ற நிலம்
திருடுவதில்லை

கவனி மனிதனே

கூட்டு வாழ்க்கை இன்னும்
குலையாதிருப்பது
காட்டுக்குள்தான்

அறிந்தால்
ஆச்சரியம் கொள்வாய்
உடம்பை உடம்புக்குள் புதைக்கும்
தொழு நோய்
விலங்குகளுக்கில்லை

மனிதா
இதை
மனங்கொள்

கர்ப்பவாசனை
கண்டு கொண்டால்
காளை பசுவைச்
சேர்வதில்லை

ஒருவனுக்கொருத்தி
உனக்கு வார்த்தை
புறாவுக்கு வாழ்க்கை

எந்த புறாவும்
தன் ஜோடியன்றி
பிறஜோடி தொடுவதில்லை

பூகம்பம் வருகுது எனில்
அலைபாயும் விலங்குகள்

அடிவயிற்றில் சிறகடிக்கும்
பறவைகள்

இப்போது சொல்
அறிவில்
ஆறு பெரிதா ?
ஐந்து பெரிதா ?

மாண்டால் -
மானின் தோல் ஆசனம்
மயிலின் தோஅகை விசிறி

யானையின் பல் அலங்காரம்
ஒட்டகத்தின் எலும்பு ஆபாரணம்
