Tamil Poet Saint of the 7th Century, Thiru-Gnana-Sambandhar  suggests a very simple and effective way to be freed of karma (which is THE CAUSE of disease and suffering) and to live in abundance/bliss ever

-          Just wake up from sleep, worshipping The Holy Feet of Lord Shiva Who Adorns the River Ganges and the Beautiful Crescent, Who dwells at Thiru-Poo-vanam (an ancient temple near Madurai)

In the context of this hymn  – Wake up worshipping & not worship after waking up

வெந்துயர், உறு பிணி, வினைகள், தீர்வது ஓர்
புந்தியர் தொழுது எழு பூவணத்து உறை,
அந்தி வெண்பிறையினோடு ஆறு சூடிய,
நந்தியை அடி தொழ, நன்மை ஆகுமே.

Transliteration

Venthuyar, uRu PiNi, vinaikal, theervathu or

Punthiyar thozhuthu yezha poovaNathu uRai,

Anthi VeNPiRaiyinodu Aaru soodiya,

Nanthiyai adi thozha, nanmai aakume
