Kammu   Saw  her  Grandma

(This is based on an incident reported as real in face book by my friend. I feel that it is not true as no parents would be that much cruel to their mother .)

A grandma  called her granddaughter  Kamala as Kammu,

And Kammu loved   her grandma too, too much,

Daily coming from school she  would rush to her  grandma

And tell her what  all  happened all   day in the School.

Then Grandma   would feed    her little Kammu  ,

Several dishes she    liked   daily  , and Kammu,

Would tell her grandma  all that   she liked to have ,

For the next   day , and her grandma  would nod her head

One day    when Kammu   came   from school ,

There   was no Grandma to receive   her  ,

But  a servant   was there  with  some dishes,

For her to eat , but Kammu  hated   them all.

Kammu asked   her parents about her  grandma ,

When they both came   from office  , and they told,

“Grandma  wanted   to visit   her relatives in another town,

And  how can we see  no, and so we have taken her there.”

Days passed   and daily  Kammu   used to cry   for her grandma,

Till her parents came  and she even gave  a letter  to be posted to her grandma,

One day her school took her along with her class to an old age home  in a nearby town,

And in a dilapidated corner  Kammu saw her grandma wearing dirty cloths

Kammu  weeping and crying  rushed    to her Grandma ,

Who was herself   crying and weeping to see  Kammu,

And  sobbing Kammu asked her “Why Grandma here?”

And she replied, your parents brought me   and put me here.
