The happy cobbler
, the sad richman and Lord Guruvayurappan
By

There was a
street in the divine town of Guruvayur
,
Where there lived a cobbler and a millionaire
The cobbler had a
small painting of Guruvayurappan,
And the rich man had
a mini temple of Guruvayurappan.
The cobbler used to keep
a flower in front of the photo,
Do his work and
lived without any worry or trouble,
And the rich man
called several priests and conducted,
Great pooja
daily u in his temple but he was always miserable.
One Day sage
Narada met Lord Guruvayurappan,
And asked him , the reason for this great contradiction,
And the lord told
Narada , you go and tell both people ,
“I am sage Narada
and am coming from
Guruvayurappan.”
They both will
ask you “What is the lord doing ?”
And you tell them,
“The Lord is trying to pass ,
An elephant
through the hole of sewing
needle,
And their replies
would clear up matters for you.
Sage Narada went
to rich
man and when asked ,
Told what Lord
Guruvayurappan was doing,
The rich man told “Impossible even for the lord,
Please go and
tell him to stop the silly job.”
But when he
told the same thing to the cobbler,
With flowing
tears in his eyes he told the sage,
“THis is too easy
a job for my lord Guruvaturappan.
Has he not kept a banyan tree inside its tiny seed?”
Sage Narada understood
with great clarity ,
“How one
does the worship of the Lord in unimportant,
But the faith he has
in the lord and his ability
,
Is more important
without any doubt.”
